As we celebrate the advent of our Lord this season. Many of us will plan larger than normal meals for our family’s. Eating to our hearts are content. But there are many that will not have that opportunity.
World Vision, in there article, “Fast Fact on Global Poverty” stated that 689 million people live in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $1.90 a day. https://www.worldvision.org/sponsorship-news-stories/global-poverty-facts#facts
There are MANY that are HUNGRY and THIRSTY…
“Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’ “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’ Matthew 25:44-45
The advent is about the GIFT that the Father gave to us. His only begotten son, Jesus Christ.
For this is how God loved the world: He gavea]”>[a]”>aa]”>] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Because of HIS gift to US we ALL have the opportunity to live with him eternally, IF accepted. We should be eternally grateful. Let us give back to Jesus what was given to us through our talents, time, money and our resources.
