The Seduction of Anxiety
The Journey Home Part 2
The seducing power of anxiety has a lineage that dates to the beginning of time, back in Genesis. Anxiety’s conception was at the moment Eve heard the Devil speak, “Did God really say”? A plot, a wicked scheme with the intent of planting a seed. A seed that produced a harvest of doubt. Doubt yielded an overwhelming distrust in God. Creating a whirlwind of suspicion that God was holding out on them.
Trust issues can cause suspicion, anxiety, and doubt, and can be very damaging to romantic, personal, and professional relationships. https://www.choosingtherapy.com/trust-issues/
Genesis 3:2-6
The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
Narrated by the Author or the Father of Lies, the Devil. We can find it’s fruit everywhere. The soil of lies is regularly, fertilizes the ground of Anxiety. No matter how sinister the fruit of anxiety is, can we be freed from it?

Anxiety – Defined and it’s Symptoms
As we take a closer examination of anxiety. The bible says that:
Just ask the animals, and they will teach you. Ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you. Speak to the earth, and it will instruct you. Let the fish in the sea speak to you. Job 12:7-8
By observing nature, we can learn some lessons that can aid us as we seek to overcome anxiety. Let’s take weeds, as a example, when we parallel them to anxiety, they are certainly unwanted. Especially amongst beautiful vibrant flowers like our lives.
The trick to pulling weeds is to get the root out as well, since many common weeds—like dandelions—will regrow from any roots left in the ground. Pull the weed from its base (close to the soil line) and twist gently to dislodge the roots. https://www.almanac.com/weed-control-techniques
The lesson we learn is that when weeds are pulled up by the root, the outgrowth can be controlled. As with Anxiety. In order to begin the process, we must identify what anxiety is and know the symptoms.

Disarming Anxiety
Anxiety can be disarmed by first belief and trust that God love’s us; realizing that God can be trusted; knowing, deeply that he is in control and combating every thought with truth of his word, the Bible.
We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. 4 [a]We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 2 Corinthians 10:3
-
God Love’s Us
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. Romans 8:38
-
Trusting God
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5
-
He is Control
For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being. Job 12:10
-
Combat every thought with the Truth of God’s Word, the Bible
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Overcoming Anxiety
Overcoming Anxiety will not be easy. It has been a long journey for many to include myself. Start to take your life back by building a intimate relationship with the Father. Next, study and think about (meditate) on God’s Word. The Lord’s track record has been proven from Genesis to Revelation.
