From the Ash Is 613 Outreach Ministry mission form a community of believers who support the least of these. “The least of these” as Jesus describes, are those amongst us that often go ignored and overlooked. Specifically, those who suffer silently with mental illness, incarceration and homelessness. Through our blogs, podcast discussions and community outreach we seek to serve “the least of these”.
According to Matthew 25:37-40
37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’
40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,[f] you were doing it to me!’
If only ONE life is changed and impacted we would have fulfilled the commission God has placed on our hearts through this ministry.
They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago. They will revive them, though they have been deserted for many generations. Isaiah 61:4
We are convinced that the “they” that the God the Father spoke of in this passage is the “ancient city “ruined and in need of repair. As human beings, our repair, or healing, can only manifest from the INSIDE and OUT.
We believe that as we point to the hope we have found in the person of Jesus Christ, lives can be changed and impacted in a significate way.
GOD can RESTORE, RESTART and CHANGE anything and ANYONE no matter the problem or situation.
“he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.” Isaiah 61:3
